Held in the heart of downtown Portland, the Holiday Ale Festival keeps attendees warm and dry under a large clear top tent allowing for views of the city lights. Gas heaters create a cozy ambience under the boughs of one of the region's largest decorated Christmas trees.

*FREE* re-admission into the Festival all 5 days with wristband and current year's glass.
Advance General Admission Tickets [$35] include a festival glass, 14 beer tickets and expedited entry all five days with wristband and current year's glass (provided the event is not at capacity). This advance purchase provides 2 additional tickets plus expedited entry as compared to standard admission at the door. Those that are VISIBLY INTOXICATED will not be served.
Advance VIP Tickets [$100] include a festival glass, 30 beer tickets, express entry all five days with wristband and current year's glass (provided the event is not at capacity), a bottle of water and access to VIP beer lines (including Limited Release/Lounge Tappings), plus special VIP-only Vintage Bottle/Draft selections (To Be Announced). Those that are VISIBLY INTOXICATED will not be served.
To enter and taste beers, the purchase of an initial tasting package is required. The package includes a souvenir glass, 12 beer tickets and costs $35 at the door (CASH ONLY). Those that are VISIBLY INTOXICATED will not be served.
Additional beer tickets can be purchased for $1 each. Previous years' mugs/glasses cannot be used and will not be filled; however, current year glasses can be reused on subsequent visits within the same yearly festival.
NEW THIS YEAR! We have replaced the traditional mugs with new Govino glasses. All Govino glasses are made from a flexible BPA-free polymer, which properly showcases all types of beers. Govino products are shatter proof, recyclable, and better yet, they are dishwasher friendly and totally reusable.
A "taster" size pour of beer (4oz) requires one ticket (a few limited release and special tapping beers require 2+ tickets). A full glass of beer requires four tickets (some limited release and special tappings may not be available in full glass pours, or may be double tickets).
The festival stops selling beer tickets 1/2 hour prior to the posted closure time.
This is a 21+ event! Those that are VISIBLY INTOXICATED will not be served. No minors are allowed, including infants. No pets are permitted (except ADA).
As always, ALL TICKETS, both admission and beer, expire on the last day of the event. Past year's tickets are not valid at future events. Tickets have no refundable cash value.
Designated drivers in a party of two or more may purchase a Designated Driver entry for $10 (at the door only) and receive free non-alcoholic sodas courtesy of Crater Lake Sodas, or bottled water for the duration of their stay; however, designated drivers are NOT allowed to drink ANY alcohol, not even a taste. If you drink any alcohol, you AND your entire party will be escorted from the event premises immediately. Again, designated driver tickets are only sold at the door (no advance tickets).
