December 3rd - December 7th, 2014 | Pioneer Courthouse Square | Portland, Oregon

More than 50 potent winter ales are featured at this year's event, all of which are created specifically to bring warmth and cheer to the holiday season. These aren't beers you'll find in the supermarket - our brewers have put together special recipes just for the Holiday Ale Festival.

The Beers

The 2013 Holiday Ale Festival Beer List

From Belgians and Barleywines to Porters and Stouts, these beers are rich, robust and full of complex flavors. The Holiday Ale Festival is unlike any other winter beer festival you may have ever attended. We feature three distinct groupings of beers at the event; the Standard Release Beers, the Limited Release Beers and the Sunday Brunch Beers (the Sunday Beer Brunch requires a separate admission ticket). The vast majority of the beers are either brewed exclusively for the event, are extremely rare beers that you may never find elsewhere, are vintage beers or are beers making their initial debut at the festival.

Standard Release Beers

The Standard Release Beers are those for which we anticipate having available all festival long (while supplies last of course, as they do occassionally run out). We have over 40 of these select beers available at the festival. Beer locations will be updated both here and on the mobile site as the beers are tapped. To view these beers, click the Standard Release Beers menu item on the right.

Limited Release Beers

The Limited Release Beers are special vintage beers for which there is a very limited supply. These beers typically require additional tickets for a taster, with a select few also offered as full mug pours of varying ticket cost. To help ensure as many people as possible get a fair chance of trying at least one of these beers, we stagger their tapping throughout each day of the fest (Wednesday through Saturday only). To view these beers, click the Limited Release Beers menu item on the right.

Sunday Brunch Beers

The Sunday Brunch Beers are exclusive to the Sunday Beer Brunch, which requires a separate admission. These beers are generally of Belgian-style to be well paired with the featured European-style brunch menu. In addition to the tap offerings, there are also some 6L-9L bottle-conditioned Belgian beers that get uncorked to put the finishing touches on the incredible Sunday Beer Brunch event.
